Privacy Policy
This policy describes how the Simple eSIM Match comparison and estimation service handles information, based on the current production code and data flows.
Who is the controller
The controller for Simple eSIM Match is Simple eSIM Match, operated by Segev Dvash. Business address: Asher 13, Israel. User support: support@simpleesimmatch.com. Partnership and provider questions: partners@simpleesimmatch.com.
Information stored on your device
The app can store a theme preference (simple.themePreference), a display currency (simple.displayCurrency), the last search (simple.lastSearch), the last data calculation (simple.lastCalculation), and recent destination identifiers (simple.recentDestinationIds) on this device. The mobile app can also store a language preference (simple.locale). The iPhone app can store native saved-trip snapshots (simple.nativeSavedTrips.v1), the last successful website load time (simple.nativeLastWebLoadAt), and local reminder identifiers after the user taps Remind me. Those snapshots include public destination, dates, estimated data, selected sort and filters, a limited recommendation list, and a public comparison URL. They are labeled as snapshots, not live prices. The app does not copy WebView cookies, authentication tokens, affiliate secrets, or full session data into native storage. After a manual language choice, the website stores only the selected locale in a simple.locale cookie (SameSite=Lax, Secure on HTTPS, about one year). It does not store an IP address. Settings can clear last search and recent destinations. That action also resets display currency to the default for the current language. It does not clear theme or language.
Technical request and log information
The current production service does not include an application-level analytics, advertising, or crash reporter. We do not claim that no data is processed: hosting infrastructure and networks that deliver the site or API can process technical request data such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, requested URLs, and similar logs. API responses may include a request identifier (x-request-id). The locale redirect may read a stored simple.locale cookie, Accept-Language, and Vercel’s trusted country header to choose a default language. It does not store the visitor’s IP address. An explicit locale URL is never replaced. The mobile app can request public website endpoints used by comparison: `/v1/config`, `/v1/destinations`, `/v1/airalo-preview`, `/v1/breeze-preview`, `/v1/impact-preview`, `/v1/yesim-preview`, `/v1/saily-preview`, and `/v1/nomad-preview`, `/v1/airhub-preview`. Preview requests include destination codes from your last calculation so the site can return stored partner listings when they are enabled. If those responses are missing, disabled, or empty, comparison continues with the reviewed listings already stored in the app and the bundled destination list. Published catalog results are stored verified snapshots for Airalo, Ubigi, Maya Mobile, Yesim, and Breeze; they are not live prices. Saily catalog responses stay disabled. The iOS app also loads the production website in a WebView, so the same hosting logs can apply to in-app browsing. Following a partner link opens HTTPS `/go/...` on the Simple eSIM Match website, then the official provider site in the system browser.
Vendors actually used by this code
This policy names only processing that the current code can perform. The production website is hosted on Vercel. If server environment variables for a database are configured, the application can read catalog publication metadata from that database with a server-only credential (Supabase PostgREST in this codebase). There are no end-user accounts, and the app does not ship a client database SDK.
Purposes and legal bases
On-device preferences exist so the app can remember your theme, currency, last search, and language. After a manual language choice, the website remembers that locale in the simple.locale cookie. Native saved-trip snapshots and optional local reminders exist so you can reopen a comparison and get a departure reminder on this device without an account. Technical logs, where a host processes them, support security, debugging, and delivery of the service. Where GDPR or similar law applies, those activities may rely on legitimate interests in operating a secure service and/or on your request to use the service. The controller is Simple eSIM Match. These practices are described under the laws of the State of Israel.
Recipients and processors
Recipients can include Vercel, which hosts the website, and, when configured, the database operator used for catalog metadata (Supabase PostgREST in this codebase). If you follow a published partner link, Impact, TUNE, or another configured affiliate network and the merchant website can also receive the technical data described in the affiliate-redirect section. We do not sell personal data. The current production service has no advertising SDK.
Retention
On-device preferences remain until you change them, clear search data, remove site data, or uninstall the app. Server and security logs are retained for up to 30 days. Standard cloud hosting safeguards apply. Catalog metadata is not used to profile individuals.
International transfers
The production website is hosted on Vercel. If a host or database is located outside your country, technical data may be transferred internationally according to that provider’s terms. Standard cloud hosting safeguards apply.
Security
Typical deployments serve the web app over HTTPS. Database credentials, when used, stay server-side. No method is perfectly secure.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability. Because search preferences are stored on-device, you can review and delete that local search data in Settings. Other rights can be raised via user support support@simpleesimmatch.com.
Children
The service is not directed at children. Do not use it if you are below the digital-consent age in your country.
Affiliate redirects and third-party policies
Affiliate links, including current Airalo, Ubigi, Maya Mobile, Yesim, and Breeze catalog integrations, send you to a third-party site. Saily may appear as a destination-page option with coupon SIMPLEESIM and is not an exact-package catalog integration. Authorized SimOptions, Bouygues Telecom, Orange, aloSIM, Nomad, and Roamless programs use the same `/go/...` hop when they are published. Some links first open an HTTPS path on the Simple eSIM Match website (`/go/...`). That path looks up a stored partner destination or product, may request a tracking URL from that partner’s affiliate network, records a short-lived in-memory click record (destination or plan identifier, anonymous click ID, timestamp, and URL), and then redirects you. Breeze hops may also write a short server-side click row (provider, plan identifier, locale, placement, and timestamp) to the catalog database when that database is configured. The row is not linked to a user account, and this policy does not claim a specific retention period for those rows. Direct HTTPS partner URLs go to the provider without that hop. These redirects are not conversion postbacks and are not used to create an account. The provider’s privacy policy applies to any purchase or account you create there. After you follow an affiliate or merchant link, Impact, TUNE, or another configured affiliate network and the merchant can receive the IP address, user-agent, requested product or destination, data-cap, timestamp, affiliate parameters, and an anonymous click ID. This hop is not classified as Apple tracking: there is no IDFA, ATT prompt, or advertising identifier.
